This course provides an overview of blood-borne pathogens and highlights blood-borne pathogens that can be encountered by caregivers at work. The course will provide an understanding of the various modes of transmission of blood-borne pathogens and the risk of caregivers being exposed to contaminants. It will also explore techniques to prevent and protect caregivers from accidental exposure to blood-borne pathogens in their workplace.
